Top Headlines Aaron Petruski, Todd Gillhenney, Rui Monteiro and James Bensson - the top four seeds respectively - only yielded a combined two games Friday as they waltzed to victory in their first-round matches. Play in the annual tournament resumes today, with the Women's Open and Senior Men's Open also kicking off. Petruski, the top seed, and Gillhennery, the second seed, both posted 6-0, 6-0 victories while Monteiro and Bensson, the Attleboro High product, both chalked up 6-0, 6-1 decisions. Paul Carden, John Flynn, Tom Larkin and Lucas DeForest and Manny Toppins all enjoyed similar success, neither one losing more than two games. On the flip side, the match of the night was turned in by Stephen Marcotte and Mike Lipscomb as the two were the only ones to go more than two sets. Marcotte prevailed 10-6 in a super tiebreaker, that after winning the first set 6-3 and Lipscomb winning the second 7-5. Tim Flynn also had his work cut out for him to advance to today's second round as he ousted Kleber Fukomiza in two tough sets, winning 7-5 and 7-6 (7-4).
